The programme for the Aesthetica Short Film Fest 2013 is out, and the short, Love Cake, that I wrote and co-produced is going to be in Comedy screening 1 (on page 42), on 8th, 9th & 10th November. Bring it on!
Just finished a strange feature which evolved from a previous script that I wrote long ago.
Set on the east of Scotland, the title references ‘things left behind’ in all areas of life (in this case, by the tide).
The next batch of copies of my short Love Cake have just arrived, and are ready to go out for festival consideration. Here we go!
Sad to say farewell to the EIFF Talent Lab for this year – here we are on our last day in the Traverse Theatre. The Lab was a fantastic experience, and I’ll recap some of my favourite moments over the next week or so.
I was honoured to be on it with such a bunch of great, talented and fun people, and huge thanks to Jona, Holly and Neil (and the whole EIFF team), and the funders for looking after us so well, and programming an incredible few days.
Here’s to what comes after.

Packed and ready for the Edinburgh International Film Festival, and its Talent Lab. Got my schedule, and the all-important lanyard. Looking forward to a packed few days with some seriously great people booked for my one-to-one meetings. More soon.
